Light everyday support socks
Long days on your feet, travel comfort
Still ask a clinician first if you have diabetes or circulation problems
Tools and gear
Compression socks are not a gout treatment, and no gout guideline this site uses recommends them for a flare. MedlinePlus describes graduated compression stockings as gently squeezing the legs to help blood move up them, which can help with leg swelling and an aching, heavy feeling. For some people they are simply a comfort item.

People whose clinician has suggested compression for leg swelling or a vein problem, or who want light support for long days, and who have checked with a clinician that it is safe for them. Compression is not a way to treat a flare, and it does nothing to urate or crystals.
None of these items treats gout. They can make rest, comfort, or an already-prescribed routine easier. Medicine decisions stay with your clinician.
